Three full lists of specifications for the upcoming Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra have just leaked. Among the familiar specs, one upgrade stood out: all three S26 models may feature an anti-reflective display.
According to the latest leak from WinFuture, the entire Galaxy S26 lineup will have Gorilla Glass Armor 2 protection. This glass ceramic material includes a built-in anti-reflective layer, meaning all three Galaxy S26 models could finally match the S25 Ultra’s standout display feature.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra was the first to adopt an anti-reflective screen with Gorilla Glass Armor. Its sequel upgraded to Glass Armor 2, while the base and Plus models were left with Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
If the leak is accurate, Samsung seems to be leveling the playing field across the 2026 Galaxy S flagship lineup. Finally!
The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s display is one of the best in the industry, partly due to Gorilla Glass Armor 2. This material is more scratch-resistant than Glass Victus 2, hitting level 6 or 7 instead of 5 on the Mohs scale. But more importantly, the Armor 2 treatment makes the screen much easier to read in direct sunlight.
It's been two years, and this premium display feature has yet to reach the base and Plus models. But if the leak holds, our wait is nearly over, and the S26 series may be the first to break this exclusivity on anti-reflective screens.
On the other hand, the probability of another top-tier display feature becoming exclusive to the S26 Ultra appears to be very high. Instead of Gorilla Glass Armor 2, the high-tech privacy display could be the new Ultra’s unique advantage, leaving S26 and S26+ users without it.
Take all this with a pinch of salt until more details emerge. Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S26 series later this month at Unpacked in San Francisco.
